Τα social media μόνο σπάνιο δεν είναι να γεμίζουν με challenges. Το τελευταίο, όμως, που κυκλοφόρησε σε Instagram και Twitter, ίσως είναι το αγαπημένο μας. Τα posts που το αποτελούν μάς κάνουν να γελάμε, να συγκινούμαστε και να προβληματιζόμαστε. Κάποιες φορές όλα αυτά μαζί.  

Τι είναι, λοιπόν; Διάσημοι και μη μοιράζονται μαζί μας δύο φωτογραφίες. Η πρώτη δείχνει πώς ξεκίνησαν τα πράγματα. Η δεύτερη πώς πάνε τώρα. Το περιεχόμενο τους διαφέρει κατά πολύ από χρήστη σε χρήστη. Εταιρείες μάς δείχνουν το πρώτο προϊόν τους και το πιο πρόσφατο. Κάποιοι μάς δείχνουν τους εαυτούς τους παιδιά και σήμερα. Άλλοι την αρχή της σχέσης τους και το πού αυτή βρίσκεται τώρα. Καλλιτέχνες και αθλητές μάς δείχνουν τα πρώτα τους βήματα και το πού έχουν φτάσει πλέον. Ενώ άλλοι προσπαθούν να μάς ευαισθητοποιήσουν για την κρίσιμη σημερινή κατάσταση του πλανήτη.  

Αν μπορούσαμε θα σού δείχναμε όλα τα posts που συναντήσαμε. Επειδή, όμως, είναι (πάρα) πολλά, αναγκαζόμαστε να περιοριστούμε στα απολύτως αγαπημένα μας.

How it started…how it’s going! Just a shoutout to my younger self for trusting this man, because I had convinced my self that he was a “bad idea,” and I trusted my self and his self enough to try anyway. And here we are today. We were asked recently, “when did you know?” When did you know you’d spend your lives together. We didn’t, and sometimes we still don’t. In the thick of hurt feelings, healing, and life we have had serious moments of doubt, and we have always taken a deep breath, returned back to each other, and got real serious about what really matters and what we really want. This moment. The here and now where we get to continually choose each other. This very real present moment is where all the possibility lies. Do we choose in this moment to continue together? To grow together? To love one another? To build a life together? As bad as some moments can seem, and have been, as ugly as it gets, we find our way back to a yes. There’s been suffering, more than was likely necessary, and even from the mud grows an orchid. In the past few months, I have experienced more peace and fulfillment in our relationship, and that is directly proportional to how much peace and fulfillment I’m experiencing in my relationship with me. I am so thankful to do life with someone who continually chooses me too. Who sees me at my absolute worse, and says yes. Who is hurt by me, and has hurt me, and continually we find repair…together. This is where deep intimacy floods my heart, my body, my being. Growth is inevitable. Change is inevitable. Pain is inevitable. Suffering is inevitable. Love is inevitable. Here. It starts with me.
